Exactly, people need to stop seeing things with "blue and gold" colored glasses. This is someone's life and career at stake here, he's taking a step forward. It's like saying...well I've been with this company for 10 years, though I have another offer that comes with greater opportunities, that could lead to jobs down the road that could help me climb the corporate ladder. Do you stay or do you take a chance and better yourself? Stay if your truly happy, but it's something you may regret someday. Never be afraid to leave your comfort zone, especially if it opens doors for you.

Travis improved himself and there's no doubt there and there is some credibility to the consolidation element of this discussion, BUT not the fact that Travis is going to miracalously going to heal any bad will between the Appy and PV folks.

Is it me or wasn't some of the Appy folks hollering when Travis came back and Appy got in the I and all you heard was "don't fix what isn't broke" and shortly there after Appy went back to the T. Don't know if that's true or not, but it was rumored that going away from the T was Travis's idea. Wan't it Travis who left Appy this year once the season already started and went to Lee High vowing not to come back as long as the current head coach is there. Jeez, what a unifier I'm sure if that one's true then he might as well kicked Coach Austin in the nuts. I don't know why Appy would want him back if he deserted the kids. It's also rumored that the Appy kids neither like or respect Travis so don't make the mistake that great players make great coaches. His dad was a special coach and maybe Travis is as well, but I think his immediate impact on PV football will be limited (like any coach who has worked with Phil e.g. Barry Jones) regardless of what title goes in the game program.

I can't understand this place sometimes. A thread that got started was about Travis making a move to the position of OC at PV. Not about "chest thumping" over which school is better. Nobody knows why he made the move but him. This thread has gotten stupid really fast now.

There is no wonder that most of the "older" posters are not posting on here anymore.

Really you've got be an idiot to not take a coordinator job at PV/GC/CW/JIB right now. I can only imagine the outrage had he went to William Campbell, they beat Appy worse than PV does. As for Curious1, JIB has a had a great run the past 3-4 seasons, and they still have 1/8th of what PV does on the Football Field.

This was undoubtedly one of the smartest moves he could have made, PERIOD. Everyone can speculate all they want, but like I said before, he is the only one who knows why he made the move.

I was just wandering if you had really thought about the state of LPD football before making the statement that "Clintwood is the only team on par with PV in the last 30 years".

So as for as PV Vike Fan is concerned I would think that JIB and GC would be a little offended at this type of condescending, pompous remark.
